The Raja Saab, the highly-awaited next release of pan-India superstar Prabhas, is once again making headlines. Over the past week, social media has been flooded with speculation that the film’s release might get pushed from its earlier planned date of January 6, 2026.
Putting an end to those rumours, production house People Media Factory has now issued an official clarification confirming that the film will hit theatres worldwide on January 9, 2026, as a Sankranthi festival release — exactly as scheduled.
The team further shared that VFX and post-production work is currently progressing at high speed, while aggressive release strategies are being finalised across multiple languages. The film will also release in IMAX and other premium formats to ensure a larger-than-life, theatrical experience for the audience.
According to the makers, the first copy of The Raja Saab will be ready by December 25, 2025. A grand pre-release event has also been planned in the U.S. during December.
“With these extensive preparations, The Raja Saab is set to take Sankranthi celebrations to a whole new level. Director Maruthi is shaping the film into one of Tollywood’s major prestige projects, while producer T.G. Vishwa Prasad is mounting it on a spectacular scale without compromise in any technical department,” their official statement read.
This formal confirmation has put all confusion to rest, assuring fans that the team stands fully confident in the content Maruthi is creating.
